Description:
Bonneville Dam was constructed as part of the New Deal of Franklin D. Rosevelt. The project started in 1934 and lasted 10 years. There has been several additions made over the years. The penny machine is located at the Bradford Island Visitor center. Bradford Island was named after Daniel and Putnam Bradford who were steamboat operators on the Columbia River.
